Interim Executive Director

Dr Lyons' journey in education spans over a decade, starting teaching high school students to leading curriculum and instruction at the state level, to shaping education policy and supporting schools in building strong instructional practices. Her passion has always been working with urban schools and centered on ensuring every student has access to high-quality learning experiences that prepare them for success in school and prepares them for success after graduation. She was drawn to Charette because of its unwavering belief in the potential of every student and its strong, connected community. This is a mission she holds close to her heart. Here, we create community by building relationships, celebrating diversity, and supporting one another. We honor ourselves by recognizing our strengths, taking responsibility for our growth, and treating each other with respect. And we strive to succeed by holding high expectations, embracing challenges, and working hard to reach our goals. These values will guide every decision we make this year.
