NOELIA TAVERA, '22

“Charette has strengthened my belief in becoming someone who can make a positive change in my community.”

Noelia earned honors as well as The Lt. Governor Sabina Matos Student Leader Award in 2022.  She is currently at the University of Rhode Island, double majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences and minoring in Spanish through the Talent Development program. Noelia aspires to be a social worker and work with families who need support to overcome social and emotional barriers.

PRINCE KWEH, '22

“Charette has made me successful in college by teaching me how to be independent, honest, and responsible. They have provided me with endless support and resources to enhance my post-secondary endeavors.”

Prince received a full academic & athletic scholarship to Bentley University where he studies Finance. He hopes one day to become a corporate lawyer and help clients achieve their business goals.

ANGEL PRADO, '21

“In middle school, I was a bad kid. I got F’s. When I came to Charette I noticed how different the teachers were. I finally had people who believed in me, and look at me now.”

Angel ended his high school career with straight A’s and a full scholarship to Boston College. He is majoring in Political Science and pre-law. Angel hopes to one day become a criminal law attorney and advocate for the injustices in the legal system.

HARRIT BERMUDEZ JIMENEZ , '21

“Charette gave me the skills and knowledge necessary to break barriers and become a successful first generation college student.”

- Harrit Bermudez Jimenez

 

Harrit graduated top of her class in 2021 and was the class speaker at Graduation. She is a Talent Development Scholar at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Biological Sciences on the Pre-Med track. She aspires to become a neurosurgeon and help the most vulnerable populations with devastating neurological diseases. She hopes her story inspires other first-generation students to reach for the stars.
