Dr. Richard Solomon
Chairman
Dr. Rick Solomon is the Clinical Director of Delta Consultants–Providence, a multi-disciplinary clinical practice providing neuropsychological, educational, consultative, and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and schools. He consults with schools across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the country, including public, charter, parochial, and independent institutions. Dr. Solomon was invited to join the Charette Charter High School Board by the school’s founder, Dr. Kathy Vespia. He values the opportunity to bring his extensive school consultation experience to the Charette community and support the continued growth of this exceptional school. Originally from Quebec, Dr. Solomon has lived in Rhode Island for more than 35 years. He takes great pride in bringing the pluralism and inclusivity he was raised with into his clinical practice, consultation work, and volunteer service. When asked what makes him proud to be part of Charette, he said: “Charette Charter High School has become highly recognized for the relational values and strong sense of community that are prioritized and nurtured within our amazing school. Frank Prosnitz
Vice-Chairman
Frank Prosnitz is a veteran journalist with over three decades of experience in news and communications. He served as Editor of Providence Business News for 10 years, spent 15 years at the Providence Journal, and worked for several newspapers in New Jersey. He has also been the Public Relations Manager for the Rhode Island Blood Center for 13 years. Currently, he hosts a radio show on WBLQ and serves as News Editor for the website WhatsUpNewp. Frank has been involved with Charette High School since its founding, joining at the request of Dr. Kathy Vespia. His expertise in business journalism and urban development aligns closely with Charette’s mission to expand opportunities for students who might not otherwise have access to them. He is proud to serve on Charette’s Board because of the school’s dedication to providing hope, opportunity, and meaningful education. His favorite moments are at graduation—watching students, often the first in their families to do so, celebrate their achievements. Outside of work, Frank enjoys reading, with Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie among his favorites.
Ola Adeduji
Board Member
Ola Abeduji is a Chief Compliance Officer with over 15 years of experience in financial services, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operations within the wealth management industry. He brings expertise in governance, strategy, and policy, helping guide organizations toward strong, ethical, and effective practices. Ola was drawn to Charette High School after learning about its mission and vision from the Board Chair. Passionate about education, he values the opportunity to actively shape and inform policies that support student success and community growth. Outside of work, Ola is a music lover and enjoys watching soccer—especially cheering for his favorite team, Arsenal FC. He also supports his children at gymnastics, swim, and soccer practices, embracing family and community engagement. A fan of Max Lucado’s Travel Light, he brings the same focus on balance and purpose to his work with Charette. Ola is proud to serve on Charette’s Board because of the school’s dedication to empowering students, fostering creativity, and ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
Roxanne DeBritto
Board Member
Roxanne DeBritto is a proud member of the New Dimension Apostolic Center in Providence, where she finds joy and purpose in serving her community. After dedicating 33 years as a Practice Manager at Coastal Medical in East Providence, she retired in June 2024 and has since embraced a new chapter in her life. Above all, Roxanne cherishes her roles as a loving mother and devoted grandmother, which bring her immense happiness and fulfillment. Roxanne is passionate about creating a community where every student feels supported and has the opportunity to do their best. She is inspired by Charette High School’s focus on belonging—ensuring that students, staff, and families feel connected, seen, and valued. She believes that when people feel respected and included, they are more engaged in their learning and empowered to make a positive impact on the world around them. She is proud to serve on Charette’s Board because of the school’s commitment to helping students discover their potential and build the mindset to reach their dreams. Roxanne especially treasures graduation ceremonies, where she witnesses firsthand the growth, confidence, and accomplishments of each student. Her guiding inspiration is Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman, reflecting her belief in the power of strength, purpose, and community.
Ryan Dickerson
Board Member
Ryan Dickerson is the Principal City Planner for the City of Providence, bringing extensive experience in urban planning and community engagement to the Charette Board. His work focuses on advancing pedestrian and bike mobility, economic development, and neighborhood growth, reflecting his commitment to creating stronger, more connected communities. Ryan is inspired by Charette High School’s mission to provide meaningful opportunities for students and families. He is proud to serve on the Board because of the school’s dedication to empowering students, fostering creativity, and supporting each learner in realizing their potential. Outside of work, Ryan is an avid rugby player, participating with both the Providence Rugby Football Club and the Boston Ironsides Rugby Club. He enjoys reading Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin, lives by the words of Tracy Chapman—“Either leave today or live and die this way”—and embraces the motto: “The road less traveled isn’t shorter or easier; it’s just less people along the way.” One of his favorite Charette moments was watching the very first graduation video, a moving reminder of the school’s impact on students’ lives.
Lisa Scorpio
Board Member
Lisa Scorpio was born and raised in Providence and is a respected community activist and leader. She retired after 29 years with the Providence School Department and has continued pursuing growth through leadership programs such as the Parent Leader Training Institute, Leadership Rhode Island, and the RI State Police Citizens Academy. Lisa also serves on the Chad Brown Alumni Association and Providence Police Community Advisory Boards. A proud mother of two young adults, Olivia and Miels, she is inspired daily to make a difference in her community. Having attended Providence Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade, Lisa has a lifelong connection to the city and its students. She is passionate about creating opportunities for students and families to thrive and believes strongly in fostering meaningful connections between schools and the community. She is proud to serve on Charette High School’s Board because of the school’s unwavering commitment to students and its focus on creativity, collaboration, and empowerment. One of her favorite moments with Charette is watching students present their Capstone Projects, where their confidence, creativity, and pride shine—a reminder of the transformative power of education. Her guiding philosophy is reflected in her favorite quote from Elie Wiesel: “We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
